Violet, Klaus and Sunny are now in the truck of the car of Count Olaf with one little bullet hole for air and little bit of room for three people even sunny who is no larger than a loaf of bread as the car comes to a stop Olaf and his troop come out and the children pop open the trunk of the car and see that Olaf and his troop are in a carnival tent. A fortune tellers tent actually. The kids are at a carnival. As they listen to Olaf and his troop talking to a women with an accent they have never herd, Olaf had asked if she could tell the where the Baudelaire's were or were there parents were or were the 12 pages of the snicket files were. The children stopped and went to the trunk of Olaf's car and had to put on a disguise to hide themselves when they got to the car there were so many things in there but it was hard for them to choose. They found Olaf's captains outfit which he use to take them away from there loved Aunt Josephine. They also found a very large beard which they use to put on sunny and called her chabo the half wolf half baby and they also found a very very large shirt and pants that they use to have violet and Klaus get into a two headed freak. They walked in the tent to find a job at the carnival. As they sat down they saw everyone starring at them. As they were interviewed they let sunny in right away but violet and Klaus had to eat a ear of corn and it was very hard for them to do this with one of each of there hands so they dropped it and everyone found it hilarious and they were let in too. They were taken to the freaks caravan where there was a kitchen and a few hammocks were there were three freaks Collette the contortionist, Hugo the hunchback and Kevin the ambidextrous. a contortionist is a person who can make there body into many shapes and forms and a ambidextrous is a person with two left hands or the other way around. Hugo and Kevin put up another hammock for the three children. All the three freaks did was sob and complain about them being freaks and not getting a real job that they get payed with. The next day the freaks would have to preform there acts in font of a crowd of eight to ten because the carnival didn't get much business Hugo would have to put on a coat, Kevin would have to right his name and Collette would have to twist and turn. The two elder Baudelaire's would have to eat an ear of corn. As the day came to an end Madame Lulu came back with a few lions in a cage. Olaf's troop had been by the roller coaster digging a ditch for the whole day and Madame Lulu told the freaks that one of them would be eaten by the lions. This set all the freaks crying. The kids wondered how the fortune teller always knew where they were so they left to the fortune teller tent to see how she knew as they were looking they heard Olaf and Madame lulu coming so they left. As they waited for them to leave they saw flashes coming from the tent and it took a few hours to they went to bed. The next morning the hook handed man woke up the freaks by knocking on the door and saying that the Baudelaire's parents are alive and in the Mortain mountains at the VFD hideout. The children were so happy to here that but they weren't she because they didn't believe that Madame Lulu could actually read the future and so they weren't positive so they went to the fortune teller's tent after the carnival and fount that high in the ceiling of the tent was a invention. Violet fount out that the devices made the flashes that they saw come from the tent. and as they looked around more violet and Klaus looked at the crystal ball and with there uncoordinated hands thay dropped it and it broke but they found out that under the table was a library of papers and books. They scimmed through the papers and found stuff about them like the prufoct perpetually school new students which had there name on it. A newspaper that had an article of a village taking in three orphan from when the village of VFD adopted them. As they went through the papers they didn't notice that Madame Lulu had walked in and when the looked up she started to yell at them then they yelled back that she was a fake and she started to cry. She dropped her accent and her funny clothes and weeped for a long time as the children waited she said her name was Olivia and she just tried to please everyone. The children took off there disguises to show her and at once she noticed they were the Baudelaire's and she knew they weren't murderers. She said she was sorry for all that she had done to them and she said that she would help them and right after they were done with the lion show that they would leave to the mortain mountains  to find there parents and all they needed was to find a ride to get there and she would pack up and take care of the rest. The  children left to there caravan and later Olaf's girlfriend Esme came wearing and outfit that said I <3 freaks which made all the freaks happy. She came to tell them that who ever was going to get eaten by the lions that they could push Madame Lulu in instead and they all could join Count Olaf's troop and Esme gave each freak a present. She gave Collette a coat so that she could twist and turn with no one watching and she gave Hugo a big coat so that it would hide his hump and she gave Kevin a rope to tie a arm be hide his back and a sack for violet and Klaus so they could hide one of there heads. All the freaks were going into Olaf's troop and the next day Violet and Klaus were picked to be eaten and as they were at the Planck madame lulu came to push them in and said sorry and every one was so excited and it was taking so long that everyone walked forward to push them in and in all the commotion madam lulu and the bald man got pushed in. when the children got down the carnival was on fire and had to leave so they went to the tent to get the stuff lulu had packed but Olaf came and asked if they were coming. They were forced to come and set part of the carnival on fire every one was in Olaf's car except violet and Klaus who were in a caravan and had to be to the back of Olaf's car by a rope . They had a wakie takie and they were high in the mountains and they here Olaf on the walkie talkie say Lulu told me who you were orphans and they looked out the window to see Kevin cut the rope and they were sent flying down the mountain with sunny trapped in Olaf's clutches to steal their fortune.

The Hostile Hospital

     The three Baudelaire orphans, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny have just ran away from the village of V.F.D and   needed somewhere to hide before the authorities come after them. The children stopped at the "Last Chance General Store" which the children thought would be the last place for a long time. As they approached the store they saw i flier that said telegrams can be sent here. A telegram has no periods so they use STOP at the end of each sentence. They walked in and saw a man in the front of the store. the store was huge and every inch of it was covered in items and it was hard to get around. They went to the counter and asked the man if they could send a telegram. He asked for money and they said that they were in an emergency and needed to send a telegram, the man felt sorry so let them use it for free. As the children sat down they waited and wondered who they could possible send the telegram to. Everyone that they could have trusted had either been murdered or had seen the daily punctilio that they had murder count Omar who was really count Olaf who was really Jacques Snicket. They had not murdered anyone though. They decided to send the telegram to Mr. Poe who was in charge of their fortune their parent had left them when they past away. As they sent each and every STOP and letter they worried that Mr. Poe would not believe them. When they finish they couldn't help but to stay up all night and wait for Mr. Poe's reply. They ended up spending the whole night waiting and as the morning rose the owner walked back in and was surprised they were still there. After another 45 minutes a man walked in and said that he had the daily punctilio. The man said that there are murderers lose and to be careful. The children herd and started to leave and then the man said there are the murderers and he was pointing at them. The children ran down an aisle and the men chased and they lost them but they were all running through the store and when the children got out the men didn't see, the children knew they had to get away but he land was flat and they could be seen for miles. Getting gas was a van. The children snuck into the van and everyone thought that they belonged. They were in the V.F.D van. As they drove away they  talked with the people and they said V.F.D stood for volunteers fighting disease. They all called each other brother and sister which they were not all brothers and sisters. They were on their way to Heimlich Hospital and the whole time they were singing the V.F.D song that went:

                                                      We are volunteers fighting disease,
                                                      And we're cheerful all day long.
                                                     If someone said that we were sad,
                                                    That person would be wrong.

                                                   We visit people who are sick,
                                                  And try to make them smile,
                                                 Even if their noses bleed,

                                                 Or if they cough up bile.

When the children got to Heimlich Hospital they herd and intercom voice that said this is Babs head of human resources. She sounded like the intercom had tin foil over it. The hospital needed two volunteers to work in the library of records. They went up to Babs's office but were afraid that she might recognize them from the newspaper. They walked in she wasn't there but a intercom was in there and they were sent to the library of records. When they got there was a little man with little glasses on they worked by sorting files. After a day they had no where to go so they went to sleep in the unfinished half of the hospital because only one half of the hospital was finished and the other half had been stopped being worked on. After a day they decided that they needed to no more about the secret of V.F.D and other things so as they were working they took a paper clip from the papers and violets ribbon and Sunny bit the keys to shape like a key. At the end of the day they handed Hal the made keys and his eye sight was horrible and couldn't tell that they were different. After an hour they snuck back into the library and looked to see if they had a Baudelaire file they didn't and they herd someone trying to open the door. They quickly look at F for fire and it wasn't there. The door rattled more and more violently. Then they suddenly remembered Snicket so they raced to the S aisle and found snicket and they opened the file that only had one paper in it. The top of the file had a letter on it that said that the file has been removed for investigation. the page in there was page 13. It had information that said that one person may have survived the fire and the person and their whereabouts are unknown. They were so interested in the file that they didn't realize that the door had opened. There right in front of the stood Esme Squalor. Olaf's evil girlfriend started to chase the children through the aisle but she couldn't get them because she was wearing stiletto heels and it took her a long time because she wasn't wearing regular stiletto heel she was wearing a shoe with a real stiletto as heels which are knifes. As she staggered after them she gave up and started to kick down the aisle to try to smash the orphans. They ran and ran but they were at a dead end and they were about to get smashed to Sunny and Klaus climbed up the shoot that files are dropped in but Violet couldn't fit so she faced the villain alone as her sibling climbed up the shoot. They waited in the unfinished part of the hospital and waited for violet. She didn't come for hours and they waited the next morning they herd the voice of count Olaf's discised voice over the intercom that said a girl was having her head cut off for surgery, it was violet. they stoal the V.F.D clip board with the name of everyone in the hospital's name on it and they didn't see Violet and they snuck into a closet and Klaus figured out it was an anagram which is a name that uses the letters to make a different name. They found it and put on doctor outfits and snuck to the surgery and Olaf's workers were there and thought that Klaus and Sunny were other workers. They were supposed to cut her head off and kill her. Klaus stalled until she woke up and they ran away and they found out that the hospital was on fire and every one was waiting for them at the entrance of the hospital. They snuck into the 3rd story closet and Violet saw a bunch of rubber bands and tied them together and then she put tin foil on a intercom and told everyone to go to the unfinished part of the hospital. They all left and Violet, Klaus, and Sunny jumped from the window and landed in bushed. There was a lot of smoke in the air and they couldn't breathe so they had to do one thing and that was jump into count Olaf's trunk and shut it. Olaf's trunk had a bullet whole in it so they could breathe and they were with Olaf driving away.

The Vile Village

The three Baudelaire orphans are waiting in Mr. Poe's office to see who there next guardian is and the phones are constantly ringing. After awhile he steps out and says everyone in your family knows about you misfortune and don't want to take them in. The phone rings and Mr. Poe answers and when he gets off He said that that was their nineteenth cousin and he wont take them in, Mr. Poe hands them a brochure and says have you ever herd the saying it takes a village to raise a child and they say yes in unison. He hands them the paper and they read the list and at the end they see it. V.F.D. The children jump to conclusion thinking it is the secret of V.F.D. Mr. Poe says he will call them. As they are waiting Mr. Poe hands them the Daily Punctilio, they see an article about the Quagmire triplets. It says tat the evil Count Omar, had taken them and that the authorities were looking for him. The children knew that it would be difficult to find someone with the wrong name. Mr. Poe walked in and said that they would raise them. Mr. Poe took them to the bus station said there good-byes and they left. As they were arriving they saw a black dot in the flat flat distance. They didn't know if it was the city of their eyes playing tricks on them. The bus driver stopped and said to walk to the black dot. They asked why he couldn't drive them there he said that it was one of the elders many rules. They got out they knew that it would take all afternoon to get to the city so Violet put Sunny on a suitcase and started to walk. As they arrived they still saw nothing but black. Not because the city was made from black stuff but because everything was covered in black crows everywhere. As they made their way through the crows were not scared apparently they were used to humans around. They were on their way to the town hall. When they arrived they saw a bunch of people and the youngest one seemed to be about eighty-one years old and they all had crow shaped hats on there  heads. It seemed that they were making the new chief of police she was wearing a visor that covered her whole face except for he mouth that was covered in red lipstick. her name was officer Luciana. They were discussing and they said that she would have to get Count Omar if he came to town. The children said Count Olaf by instinct and they said that it is breaking a rule to talk on the platform unless you are a police officer or in the council of elders which the children weren't. After awhile they said that they will talk about the orphans and the head of the council of elders "Mrs. Morrow" told them to step on the platform. They told them that they would be doing chores for the whole village and they would do the downtown chores in the morning when the crows were uptown and the they would do the uptown chores in the afternoon when the the crows were downtown and they would clean the brand new fountain in the evening when the crow were in the nevermore trees. Then a voice from the crowd yelled where will the children sleep i don't want them in my house bothering me. Then there was a here here. Mrs. Morrow said that they will be living with Hector the handyman then she yell Hector take the children to your house. A man got up out of his folding chair saying nothing and looking at his shoes. When they walked out Hector said that he doesn't talk in front of the elders because they have so many rule and they make him far to skittish to speak up. As they were walking to his house they told he their whole story and they asked him what V.F.D meant he said"village of fowl devotees he also said that they have 19,833 rules and the last one was made when they came that no villains are aloud in V.F.D. Suddenly Hector said to stop and  not to make a sound and suddenly all of the crows flew to the air and made a  circle it was a marvelous thing to see. They flew to the nevermore trees very fast for their evening roost. When they were reaching his house he said that there is a rule against using mechanical devises and the elders told him to destroy them all but he kept them and made a studio in his barn. He said that he was making an invention on a self-sustaining hot air mobile home. He said he was going to escape the town in it once he finishes it and that it has twelve large baskets connected by bridges. They Klaus asked if the village had a library. Hector said that they did but there is a rule against having any books that contain any of the rules so he was supposed to destroy them but he kept them and made a secret library of all the books. This existed all the children because Violet was and inventor and Klaus was a book worm. They told Hector about the Quagmire triplets and how Duncan was a journalist and Isadora was a poet and she wrote two lined couplets. Hector took a piece of paper out of his pocket and gave it to Violet they read:

                              For sapphires we are held here
                              Only you can end our fear
They knew that it was Isadora who sent it because they were taken because of their parents famous sapphires. When they got inside Hector said that when they found the Quagmires that he has enough rooms in his house for them to stay with them. They were excited that Hector said that because the Quagmires were their only friends. They knew that the Quagmires were in the village and they thought that they might be in the nevermore trees so they stayed up all night looking out of the window too see if Olaf takes them to a different location. The whole night nothing happened and when the crows flew away and the nevermore tree and no leaves on it and the Quagmires were no in it. They woke up Hector and they saw a couplet that said:
                                      Until dawn comes we cannot speak
                                       No words can come from this sad beak

This they knew came from the Quagmires and they were communicating with them. On there way to do the chores they thought about the couplets. Their chores were unbelievable they had to make fudge sundaes for all the council of elders and then they had to take out the garbage and recycling for the whole village then clean Mr. Lesko's house and finally clean the fountain. The whole time they didn't notice they were doing until they were cleaning the fountain and two elders came up to them and asked to speak to Hector. Hector was to skittish to speak to Violet say Hector is busy right now may i take a message. They said to tell him that they have captured count Olaf and to come to the town hall.The elders also said that they put quiet a bit of nuts on their sundaes. They went and they brought out who was thought to be Olaf. He had a unobrow and a tattoo of an eye on his ankle but he was not count Olaf and the children were the only that believed him. They stood up and said he was not Olaf then Jacques said OOOO Baudelaire's I am so happy you are alive, your parents- and officer Luciana covered his mouth. She put him in jail the Mrs. Morrow said that he will be burned at the stake tomorrow after breakfast. The children and Hector rushed back to the house. Violet and Hector worked on his hot air mobile home, Klaus read in the library and Sunny waited under the tree for the next couplet. They waited and read and invented all night and when they herd the crows leave they went to get Sunny and the couplet. It read:

This dint help at all. They rushed to the jail to brake Jacques out when they got there they walked in and they saw Jacques ....... dead in his cell murdered. All the towns people walked in and saw him to. All the sudden there was a snap and a man walked in. He had sunglasses that covered his whole face, shiny silver pants and a huge gold chain on and no shirt, it was count Olaf. He said he was detective Dupin and he solved the murder he said that the Baudelaire's did it he showed a pink ribbon with daises on it, violet said that she would never have such a ribbon and she had hers. Then he showed the crowd a lens from Klaus's glasses but he had both of his lenses. The crowd was convinced they did it even tough they had their stuff  and then Dupin said that his body is covered in teeth marks and he said Sunny bit him to death. The Baudelaire were put in jail and were going to be burned at the stake tomorrow after lunch. They were in jail waiting and trying to find a way out and Olaf came to the door and said that one of you is going to escape tomorrow and live with me. As he left he children shuddered at the idea that one of them would live with them. They refused to entertain that notion. They thought of the couplets that Isadora sent them. As they were waiting and thinking on how to get out officer Luciana came and gave them a pitcher of water and a loaf of spongy bread and she said that she didn't want to give them the water a bread but it was the rules that each prisoner gets one pitcher of water a one loaf of bread. Violet handed Klaus the loaf of bread and he started to cry. He remember that it was his birthday the bread reminded him when his parents made him bread pudding and it tasted horrible. His parents promised him that they would make him the best meal he had ever had on his next birthday. Then all three Baudelaire started to cry remembering their parents. Then Violet realized that if they took the bench off the wall and put it against the wall and then put the bread against the bottom of the board and poured the water down the bench and the bread soaked up the water the mortar that held the bricks together would start to dissolve and they would get out. As they started it seemed nothing was happening to the filthy wall of the cell but after  an hour the mortar got mushy at the touch. They saw that it was working. They started to doze off so they started to talk about the couplets Isadora had left for them. The couplets were so confusing that the three smart kids couldn't figure the secret out all night. It was getting hard for Violet to hold the board to the wall, Sunny to hand the bread to Klaus, and Klaus to squeeze the bread. Once they herd the crows that come in the morning they knew they didn't have long only until after lunch. Then they herd a psst

Instantly Klaus knew where they were, it was right in the letters it was just hidden very well it was in the third one it said the word initial which means first and the answer was the first letter in each line
                                     For sapphires we are held here

                                    No words can come this sad beak

The Quagmires are in the fountain. The Baudalaire orphans knew that they didnt have much time before the village came to burn them at the stake. They stopped pouring the water down and started to pick up the bench and then they started to ram the wall. The first ram left a dent in some of the bricks. The second time they dented more bricks. The third time they hit the wall and left a big crack and they were free. The jail was right next to the fountain so they could get the Quagmires out but they didnt know how to get them out of it they thought about the couplets and Klaus remembered this sad beak so Sunny go on Klauses back and Klaus got on Violets back and Sunny could reach the top. Violet started to wobble and Violet made Klaus wobble and they both fell down scrapping there knees and their elbows. Sunny was still hanging on by here teeth but she was still sliding down by here teeth. She bit the eyeand the fountain slowly split in half gently leaving Sunny on the ground and letting the soaked Quagmires out. They were as wet has could be. They saw the village coming don the street with their touches. The orphans rushed down a different street and the Quagmires answered how they got the notes to them by reaching through the beak and it was wet so it stuck to the crows leg and it dried on fell off at the nevermore tree. They turned the corner and the mob saw them and chased them. they ran to Hectors as fast as they could. When they got there Hector was already in the air and he dropped the ladder. The Quagmires get on the ladder and climb up and Hector helps them in. When the Baudalires got on the ladder Hector got the hot air mobile home. officer Luciana brought out a harpoon and tried to shoot the mobile home down. She had four hooks and she fired the first one and hit a tank. They lost their cranberry juice supply and she fired again and hit the sixth basket and they lost their battery supply. She shot once more and hit the ladder and the rope started to unravel and Violet knew that they had to go down and the crows started to come. They started to go down and they reached the ground. The Quagmires dropped their notebooks with crushul information in them and the last harpoon was fired and it hit both of the notebooks in the air. Then Olaf came up in a motorcycle and got close to the children and took his suglasses off and read the the daily punctilio and it said that the athorities are looking for Veronica, Klyde, and Susie Baudalaire who murdered Count Omar. The hapoon that officer Luciana shot didnt only hit the notenooks but also a crow. Hurting a crow is the #1 rule not to do. The crowd saw Olaf with his glasses off and knew it was him. He yelled for Esme to get on and officer Luciana took off her helmet to revile that she was Esme Squalor. Her and Olaf got away on his motorcycle. The whole V.F.D village rushed the injured crow to the vet. The Baudailares rushed and got all the papers from the Quamires and got very few. The Baudalaires were now homeless and could not go back with Mr. Poe


I think this book is the best of the series. I read the whole book that is 256 pages from monday to saturday. The blogging is making me want to read.

The Ersatz Elevator

     The Baudelaire orphans are going to there next guardian which is Mr. and Mrs. squalor when they reached the place Mr. Poe dropped them off and when they walked in. They also had a huge way to go up they lived on the eighty-fourth floor and was also very very dark. there were no working elevators. When they reached the room Mr. Squalor (the owner) greeted them and said his name was jerome. His wife was Esme squalor who dresses very weirdly and didn't matter to her what she liked just about what was in of out. When they finally got to there room there were many bags of clothes from Esme and they were in clothes that were very uncomfortable and they were going to be wearing them for as long as they were with Esme. Esme mentioned that Gunther was going to be the auctioneer in the auction that only had in things in it. Jerome took them to a sea food restaurant at the docks and took them there very often. They all loved the place, when they came back to the apartments the door man with sleeves solong that his hands didn't show opened the door and met Gunther who was Count Olaf which Esme and Jerome denied it all and didn't believe them. They were so scared because they knew that something bad always happens to there guardian when Olaf comes. Very often Jerome took them to the sea cafe and they talked so much and the children started to like Jerome very much but not Esme, all she did was buy them uncomfortable ugly clothes. They would return to 667 Dark ave. On gloomy days they would go to the beach like they did at briny beach when they got the terrible news that there parents had died. The children constantly worried about there friends the Quagmire triplets and wondered where Olaf had taken them. They thought they could be near now that Olaf was there. The last words that they herd them say was them yell out V.F.D! They wondered what that meant. Even though the children were always so exhausted from climbing the stairs every time up and down they had so much to think about and couldn't sleep. The next day Klaus realized where the Quagmire triplets were, in the elevator shaft. That's why the elevators never worked and they didn't try to fix them. Violet instantly had the idea to tie many things together like extension cords, scarfs, ribbons, and ropes together. They wondered how far down it was so they threw the rope down and the rope was long enough so it made a clinking sound they started to climb down the shaft like a mountain climber would. When they reached the bottom they were scared it took more than 3 hours to get to the bottom. At the bottom was a cage that looked like it was hundreds of years old. To there surprise they saw Duncan and Isabella Quagmire trembling in it. The Quagmires couldn't believe it they thought that they were dreaming. When they realized it was really them they said that Olaf was planning on putting the Quagmires in an auction idem and sneaking them out of town. Olaf was waiting for them to become of age and then still there fortune and kill them. They couldn't get them out of the cage but were planning on getting the idem that they were going to be hidden in and save them. The Baudelaire's had to climb all the way back up the long rope and up the stairs. That night they guessed what idem they were in. Idem after idem they didn't think that they could fit in any of the things and then #14 was a enormous globe #25 was a rare piano and #48 was a huge statue of a scarlet fish. Then #50 came and it was a huge box with a stamp on it that said V.F.D they knew it was it. Then Esme talked to them before they got up the stairs and she said that Gunther is really Olaf in disguise and they said they knew that and that the Quagmires were in the elevator shaft. She said that she knew they were surprised. She was surprised that they had figured it out and she said that at the auction tomorrow that Gunther would be arrested and set the Quagmires free. Esme told the children to follow her and they did. They went to bed and when they woke up Esme didn't have any anxiousness in her face which was weird. They told her that they hated to walk down the stairs and pushed the non-working elevator button and it opened she pushed them all down the elevator shaft. They stopped falling and were not injured a net had caught them. Esme yelled down to them and said that she was Olaf's girlfriend and Jerome was just a hired man. They thought for hours and hours and Sunny said she would climb up with her teeth and she did. Sunny got the rope that they used before and they climbed down to the to where the Quagmires were and escaped. When they go to the auction and Mr. Poe was there, idem after idem they waited for #50 V.F.D. They asked Jerome to bid on it and he got it. The crate was full of doily. After the auction Olaf, Esme, and his theater troop escaped. with the huge scarlet fish statue which contained the Quagmires.

I like this book very much. When i was typing i made a lot of mistakes in it and had to erase a lot on took me very long. I was surprised how much there was. I think that there are many many thrilling mysteries in this book that i like this was one of my favorite books of the whole series.

The Austere Academy

   Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire were being drove to there next guardian which wasn't a person but a boarding school. When they arrived Mr. Poe dropped them off and they had a tour guide to show them around and the school had amazing dormitories, marvelous classes, and even an arcade. Then it went bad and the tour guide said since they were orphans and did not pay for the school they would be staying in a shack known as the orphan shack. Not only that but they would not be able to use the arcade and go in the dormitories. What they would do is go to school go to the orphan shack and go to school everyday. When they reached the principles office he told them that every day they would be going to his violin recital everyday and if they were late at all they would have to eat candy until they threw up of course the principle was the one playing the violin. when they went to the orphan shack finally something good happened they met more orphans. It was a boy and girl who were twins and there names were Duncan and Isabella Quagmire and they talked and it turned out that there parents also died in a fire and they also had a huge fortune just like the Baudelaire orphans but they didn't only lose there parents but also there brother Quigly and they were triplets. The shack was disgusting it had snapping crabs on the ground and fungus dripping from the ceiling. When they woke up it was there first day of school and when they went to English it was impossible they had poems and book after book to read and there teacher expected them to do it all but sunny who was to young to even talk. When English ended science began and again was impossible. Also history was hard and math was harder than any math they have ever seen.when they got to PE it happened the teacher coach Genghis was Olaf who was wearing a turban and high sneakers to hide his unobrow and tattoo. He mad them run laps every day all day. When they got home or at least the shack they had to do there home work right away go to the violin recital and everyone was seated and quiet and one kid walked in late and was forced to eat the candy. When the recital was done they went back and did more homework which was very strange because the orphans were very smart and had a huge library in there old house and read a lot. They stayed up late doing there homework. When they were awake they didn't have enough sleep at all and again had very hard classes and when they were done went to the principles office and told them about Olaf and when to go ask him. When they got there they said to take off his turban and sneaker. He said that it was against his religion to take off his turban and his feet smelled and it was embarrassing. So they thought that it wasn't him. They had to do there homework and then went to the recital and when to do there homework and when they finished they went to bed. They were doing horrible in school and they were going to fail school and have to be held back. They did not want that to happen so they could get out of there as fast as they could. They had to do better in school so they had to stay up later and started to fail PE because they were exhausted and couldn't run the laps in the right amount of time. They were so tired one day that they fell asleep and missed the violin recital and had to eat the candy until they threw up. They were feeling horrible. When finals came they had to stay up all night to study and didn't sleep a wink. When they went to school they passed all the tests and even the fitness test Olaf was so mad he slipped and reviled his true identity and started to run and his turban and sneakers fell of revealing everything and they chased him but on his way a black car pulled up and he jumped in but not only that but he also dragged the Quagmire triplets with him and took them. There the Baudelaire orphans were standing crying there only friend just kidnapped. They were with Mr. Poe again ready to leave the school and go with there next guardian.

I think this was a very good story but also a very sad one. It just seems like there lives are getting worse and worse every guardian they go with all it brings is misery. I think they probably feel like where ever they go they will bring misfortune to anyone who is involved with them. They probably feel that at first it is looking up but then Olaf comes and wrecks it all.

While the Baudelaire orphans are on there way to there next guardian on a train they were very sad. This was because every guardian they were with they would die because of the nasty Count Olaf. They were told that there next guardian was a guy named Charlie and they would be working in a lumber mill with a bunch of men. When they got there it was a huge place. When they reached the door they knocked and a man opened the door, he asked if they were the Baudelaire orphans. He took them to a room with a bunch of bunk beds were they and all the other men would be sleeping. They were  took to Charlies office were he was sitting in his chair with a big smoke cloud was over his face from a cigarette. He didn't say much only that they would work every day in the lumber mill and get no special treatment because they were children. They work shifts were over and they went to there room where all the gross smelling frighting men were eating a casserole. They were invited to eat and when they did the casserole was disgusting. The next morning they had to work and they had a terrible sleep. In the middle of there jobs the supervisor was there and of course it was Count Olaf. At the end of there shift they went to go tell Charlie and when they did he didn't believe them at all. He sent them back to there room were again they had bad casserole. The next day during there job Klaus was walking and Olaf tripped him. When he got up `his glasses were broken. Olaf escorted him to they eye Doctor in Paltryville. He was gone all day Violet was worried. At dinner he finally returned and he didn't eat. Violet didn't know what was wrong because he wouldn't talk to her. The next day yet again Olaf tripped Klaus and broke his glasses. He escorted him to the Doctor again and he didn't return until dinner and again they had bad casserole. Each day was coming a routine, they would get up work Klaus would brake his glasses and go to the eye doctor, come back at the end of the day and come back at dinner and eat bad casserole. One night Violet woke up in the middle of the night because she herd a noise from the factory. When she got there Klaus was working the machine and Olaf and Dr. Orwl were standing there. There was Charlie on the machine about to be killed. Violet yelled at Klaus to stop but he didn't. Olaf said that Klaus was hypnotised And gave them a riddle. Violet started to cry and yelled at Klaus but he would not stop. She thought about the riddle and realized the word. Then she yelled INORDINATE. Then Klaus snapped out of it and and pushed charlie out of the way. Olaf was off in a second and Charlie yelled at them and said he didn't want them and the police came and Mr. Poe once again took them to his house and they had to wait to go to guardian to guardian to guardian until Violet was of age to have the fortune.

The Baudelaire orphans are going to there next guardian on a fairy wondering if its a boy of a girl if its nice. When they reach the house its all hanging over a Cliff accept for the porch when they knock on the door a frail elder woman cracks the door open and and asks if they are the orphans and let them in. The house looks like it is completely made of wood. She takes them to there room and shows them there beds that each had a toy chest at the end of it with one toy in them. As she finishes dinner she them to come in and feeds them but its cold soup because she is to scared to use the stove. She told them that she was there Aunt Josephine. She is afraid to turn on the stove because it might blow up. She also it afraid to use the refrigerator and use the glass door knob because the refrigerator might fall on her and the door knob might brake into a thousand pieces and get into her eye.She was also a grammar teacher and got mad at any improper grammar She tells them about the lake and to never go swimming in it especially after eating because the leeches can eat any one in seconds. She starts to cry saying that that is how she lost her husband Ike. When they all go out to shop they run into a man with an eye patch and a peg leg of course its Count Olaf. He says that he is a captain and he and Josephine start to flirt with each other. Olaf goes back to there house and Josephine sends them out. When they get back the enormous window and it is broken with a note next to it they read it and there are many grammar mistakes they put them into a puzzle and it spells curdle cave. They realize that she is in curdle cave. So when they try to leave there is a hurricane and the house starts to fall apart. The stove turns on and explodes then the refrigerator almost falls on them and when they gets to the door the door knob explodes in to a million pieces and they get out the whole house falls into the lake. They get a sail boat and sail off but they didn't know how to use a sail boat so it was difficult. When they got to curdle cave Aunt Josephine was there and she asked where the food was . They didn't understand she said they were going to live there. They forced her to get in the boat and she did. Half way through they found that she had a banana peel and the leeches started to come. They started eating the boat and Olaf showed up in a motor boat and said to get in and they can all live a happy life. The children knew that he was lieing but they had to get on land so they got in and when Aunt Josephine was getting in he moved the boat away and she fell in the water. Then she died. As they were going back to shore a police boat found them and arrested. While they were waiting to go with there next guardian they were in formed that Count Olaf had escaped and was on the loose.
